Michigan showed up as the example in the Homefield Apparel ad at the end of your article. Too funny. I recently posted on Threads the article from the UNC student newspaper when an East Carolina University spy was caught watching UNC football practice from, of all places, the UNC School of Law library.
Since I've added the Homefield Apparel affiliate marketing piece, I insert images of items for the teams that are the focus of the story. I did not mention Michigan in the story, but I selected Michigan shirts for one reason or another.
Great job or researching and compiling this information on this topic. Just goes to show how football folks of all generations pushed everything to the limit of the rules and beyond to try and gain an advantage.
