Today's Tidbit... An Ode to the Big Boys

Tomorrow is opening day for the 2022 college football season, kicking off with Austin Peay vs. Western Kentucky, followed by Nebraska vs. Northwestern from the Ol' Sod. Regardless of what happens tomorrow and during the season, each team's success will depend on the Big Boys up front; boys who like their meat and potatoes.

'The Man in the Line Is the Unsung Hero of Football; He Gets Most All of the Bruises, but Few of the Cheers," Macon Telegraph (GA), November 9, 1914.

So, let's kick off this season with a tribute to exceptionally large human beings. Here’s hoping the centers and guards remain healthy, and every tackle is eligible for at least one play this season!
