Today's Tidbit... Great Illustration of Early 1900s Football
A gorgeous illustration from the 1905 Minnesota Gopher yearbook shows the quarterback in a then common stance to receive the snap. Three defenders wear nose guards, five players have shin guards, and the left guard stands at the line. Yes, the game has changed a bit since then.
