When was the last time you saw a football staff in the office with everyone wearing ties and a staff member smoking a corncob pipe? It’s probably been a while. Likewise, it’s been a few years since coaches worked through play concepts using figurines rather than drawing them up on a board.
However, Oregon’s coaching staff in 1935, led by Prink Callison (middle), did all the above while working through an offensive play versus the 7-1-2-1 defense (in the lighter color).
