Thanks for the content! If you haven’t read “The Perfect Pass” by S.C. Gwynne, give it a look. Great insight to the history of the forward pass.

Thanks for alluding to the fields that were probably brown from dormant grass or dirt. I know that UNC would paint its grass green during the football season in the 1980s after it had gone dormant.

I do think the Livingstone College Blue Bears' field is beautiful, but I'm biased. I just hope they don't have a problem with water fowl. "Chem Grass" was invented in the Research Triangle Park (situated between UNC, Duke, and NCSU) in North Carolina, but I don't know if that's common knowledge 'round here.
