Our high school football team from Marshall Mo. wore these spotbilt turf shoes in the 1981 Show Me Bowl in old Busch Stadium St. Louis Mo. We practice inside the Hernes Center at Mizzou in the multi purpose track side on Omni Turf. This was the first time our high school ever had played on turf. These shoes where the very most comfortable.
I had a pair of Spotbilt officiating shoes when I started in 1994. They eventually were too small and I gave them to one of our older guys who was still wearing them 25 years later. One of my jr high coaches wore the ripple soles every day of his life, best I could tell.
