Great stuff! Update on the Beef Bowl: now the two RB teams go to Lawry’s on separate nights, not sure if or when that might have changed. Also, check out the 1987 Fiesta Bowl Penn State / Miami pregame steak fry for an example of Good Will / Sportsmanship dinners gone wrong.
There was a banquet for both teams at the only bowl game I attended. I assumed it was more common than not at bowl games. If not a meal then some shared event.
