You were correct in first stating that you "have avoided covering political issues in Football Archaeology, partly because many use sports and sports history as a diversion." You should followed your own advice. Your responses to one of your readers was inappropriate; 1/2 of the voters have that view but the other 1/2 would say you have Trump derangement syndrome. There is enough BS out there on both sides and I am interested in your research on football but I don't read your work because of your politics; you should stick to what you know best.
My response would be inappropriate if it was incorrect. It is not. I fully intend to return to writing about football, but will continue writing about any issue I want to raise.
