Well, it was New York- there's been more than one Madison Square Garden, too. They like to hang on to the best known names.

Brings up memories of the ol' metrodome in Minneapolis. Kinda the opposite as in a football stadium adapted for baseball... no dirt even for baseball :( but did give me the memories of Jim Thome hitting off the white canopy hiding extra football seats... twice... on my birthday.... while Big Poppie hit a walk off for my twins! Good times.

Amazingly, even the LA Coliseum and the Rose Bowl hosted baseball. That must not have seemed crazy given the dimensions of the some old baseball parks.
