Ah! The old coach ripple shoes. My gym teacher Mr. Mayer wore them. We played first period deck hockey for an entire year! Guy was the best. He played too and it was serious. Every morning it was a game.
When I got my first coaching job in 1986, I tried to find some shoes like the ones Jackie Sherrill had (in the picture). Alas, I could not find any. I did, though, get several pairs of the old Bike polyester coaching shorts and thought I was big time! Lol

These look vaguely like some styles of golf shoes. Hmmm…will they improve my game? Nah…nothing can!!
You'd probably look swell in a pair of high-top black leather shoes with 3/4 inch spikes. I'm just saying.

I had a few pairs of Bike coaching shorts, and looked great, if I do say so myself.
I did, too, but most certainly would not look good in them now!
